• It’s the first warm day of the year, 30โ„ƒ (86 F). Warm for running that is, because one can easily add 10โ„ƒ (12 F) for heating of the body while running. So I left early, when it was still cool. The photo clearly examplifies that burning globe in the sky.

  • I made a rough training schedule, mostly to get me safely to a next level of fitness. The two long runs in the weekends are very gentle (almost walking), but I realize I’ll need to balance it with more distance during the week. That will be a training objective in August ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

    training schedule June 13 - July 31, 2022

  • Clawing my way back to marathon fitness with base training. I understand that low intensity running is how it should be done, including walking. Hopefully next time my fitness won’t take a nose dive after a marathon race ๐Ÿƒ

  • I’ve looked into the Maffetone method for base training (running), since my slow 20 km run two weeks ago felt so hard. It takes a really long time (like many months) to adjust your body, and slow running (8 min/km or 13 mpm in my case) means either low mileage or many hours ๐Ÿƒ

  • Look into canceling your microโˆ™blog subscription; you might get a discount.

  • Checked my podcast subscriptions in Overcast to check if any of them did tracking. One did, while it didn’t use to if I remember correctly; I removed it. Point being, keep checking for tracking, because you can’t opt out (nor opt in). It’s a data privacy protection nightmare.

  • Another reason for me to avoid challenges, or, at least, put a strict limit on the number of challenges. I can really break down mentally. Ah well, we do what we can, don’t we? I’m happy I caught it and acted appropriately. No more challenges for a couple of months for me.

  • Microโˆ™blog May challenge day 11, “maroon.” Marooned with a tricylce on a maroon colored brick wall.

  • Tried Knotwords app. Alas, not my thing, crossword puzzles. So I permanently deleted it.

  • Pixel Dailies for 8 May 2022 was a quicky, because I was behind. The theme was “organic.” Playing organ with fruit in my mind.

  • Microโˆ™blog May challenge, day 10, “pot.” As usual, words have different meanings, be it a jar or a herb.

Great comment by a pro video editor, to not rely for your workflow on any manufacturer, but instead be flexible in your approach. Appleโ€™s first-party apps are notorious for features going away, and should be probably be avoided by pros.

  • I have battle scars to prove Iโ€™m not very hands-on, almost like I have two left hands ๐Ÿ”ช๐Ÿฉธ๐Ÿฉน

  • Day 9 of microโˆ™blog May challenge #mbm, “bloom.” I have added two kinds of “bloom.” The third is made of iron.

  • Today’s prompt for Pixel Dailies was “clock.” I chose a water clock, the most ancient version of a timepiece, assumably, as an artifact over 6000 years old.

  • Today’s Pixel Dailies task was to “pixel a set of units for a Tower Defense game.” I had to look that up, because I had no clue of what was meant, and now I do, nor what I was supposed to draw.

  • Today’s prompt for the microโˆ™blog May challenge #mbm was “park.” I recently visited the chapel dedicated to Saint Gertrude of Nivelles, and added some pixel art.

  • Pixel art. Today’s Pixel Dailies theme was “mario64.” I had this complicated fake 3D walk cycle in mind, when I remembered the slogan “think big, draw small.” This usually works when in time constraint.
