Converting a “normal” perspective drawing into an isometric perspective drawing proves to be more challenging than I expected. Muttering 😖 on thru this pixel art mud.

Many things are to be considered when drawing pixel art in isometric perspective. I should practice it, since it’s a prevalent perspective in 2D games nowadays, as far as I can see from following pixel artists online.

I suppose pixel art is best described as an art form where pixel placement matters most. Unlike digital natural medium art, in pixel art what you say and how you say it are the same.

Character design doesn’t come in a flash with me. It always has been a slow process, rather discouraging imo. I guess I’m not a glutton for details, which is a big drawback for creativity. 🎨

Scaling down often means (partially) redrawing a pixel art drawing.
