32 pages for assembling a dresser seems daunting to me, having little experience with turning flatpacks into furniture. However, I’m low on funds, so paying someone else to do it must wait a month. Alternatively, I do it myself, today… 😱 That didn’t go well the previous time 😔 🏠

Went hunting for a dresser with my sister, and I found a bargain which appealed to me. Only problem, it came as two flat packs, and Maahir 🐱 eats cardboard “for breakfast.” So I had to roll them into a blanket for now, until I can pay someone to put them together into a dresser. 🏠

💡When in doubt about a feature on Linux Desktop, try the Windows equivalent. My question was: “What key combo is used to switch between apps?”
Alt+Tab
on both Windows and Linux Desktop 👨💻 -
Web coding in Hugo, while watching a YouTube video on the page generated by the local Hugo server, running on my brand new Raspberry Pi 400. 👨💻

My Noob experience with web dev, sort of. Using Rasberry Pi 400 for web development – part 1 – So much to do, so little time

I’m clearly an expert at couching my words 🤣
Tomorrow I’ll start studying web development using the Hugo templating language, after “only” four days of prep, and little sleep. The rest of the day is reserved for taking it easy, recovery.

It’s nice to have extra space instead of the stock 16 GiB that comes with the Raspberry Pi 400. 👨💻

Since Linux Desktop has limited support for emoji and no good input method editor (IME) I could find, I’ll have to use a cheat sheet with Unicodes. Most emoji are unsupported, though, which is a shame. To enter, press the ctrl+shift+u key combo, followed by the hex-digits. 👨💻

Writing a long form post about my experiences learning how to modify micro∙blog themes… I expect part 1 to be out some time next week. I have the computer set up, software all installed. There’s education ahead! 😃👨💻

I’m typing this post on my Raspberry Pi 400, using Firefox instead of Chrome. I have no sound, and tomorrow I will visit the local shop where I bought my monitor for a solution. It’s no biggie, as a dev machine, but I want sound anyway.

Found this beauty alongside a bike path on my 🏃 Already yesterday, but I forgot to take a picture then, awestruck as I was 🌸 I’m told it’s an evening primrose.

I already have a monitor for my Raspberry PI4 (will arrive tomorrow). It’s the Full HD LCD-monitor 243V7QDSB/00 - Philips. I’m about ready to start some serious programming—well studying for it, anyway. 🙏 @sod for pointing me in the right direction. BTW I’m such a worry ward.

Just got hand delivered mail, a letter and a bar of chocolate. Guess what the fate of that bar is? Spoiler: not my stomach.

Trying to understand the templating language behind micro∙blog is hurting my brain. I have really no idea how to tackle my problem of site navigation, where the previous post is out of scope of the current section—or the next post if the current post is last in its section. 👨💻

I filed two bug reports in the MB Help forum:

Went for a bike ride of 28 km, with at 10 km a brief walk of 5 km in a forest I hadn’t been before. So I came prepared with a route on my Garmin Forerunner 245 sports watch. On my bike ride back I got lost, so I used my iPhone with Apple Maps to get home.🚶🏼

My new avatar for my Dutch running blog, fully 1 implemented as favicon. Many thanks to @sod in MB help, who was invaluable in pulling this off. The pixel art was drawn in Pixaki on iPad.

This article came up from my search: “Why do I want to understand other people?” Nothing earth-shattering or novel, but useful to be aware of, in case you (read: I) weren’t. Why do people overshare? The psychology behind revealing personal details TL;DR 😭〰🙄🧘♂️™️ℹ️❓🤐

The pagoda in the city park of Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands. Each ring represents a century after the founding of the city. Erected in 1987, designed by Dutch sculptor Arie Berkulin. Photo by me, today.
