My microwave oven is about to give up the ghost ☠ after 22 years. Still works, but makes scary sounds, and gives off a distinct smell of burnt electronics. More than twice the average lifetime of a magnetron is reasonable, so I’m not having it repaired. Instead I will recycle it, and buy a new one.
