Sunday run day 🏃 was so true, so I had to pick a more boring route than usual to avoid other runners. I mostly ran alongside a highway, on a separate road, as is customary here in the Netherlands, where traffic is separated to improve safety and efficiency.

I was fed up with cheaters in the Sketch a Day app, so I’ll break my 65-day streak tomorrow.

9 km 🏃 in an hour, sorta. I met this man who, judging from how frequent we meet, seems to walk daily in his walking frame for at least 7 km, despite his disability. I salute him here for effort!

Chapter 3 of On Writing Well deals with clutter in one’s text. I’m more of a discovery-writer, with a lot of clutter in the first draft. Right now, I’m writing (in Dutch) for my fortnightly running blog, and want to try out bracketing superfluous text as a tactic to write better.

I suppose now I’m writing every day (several times a day, really), reading the book On Writing Well by William Zinsser seems appropriate. 📚 ISBN-10: 0-06-000664-1

9.1 km 🏃 in 65 minutes. Was enjoyable and needed, because they started with major renovation of the houses in my neighborhood, to make them future-proof (low carbon footprint), as required by law. It’s rather noisy, so a break was welcome 🙏😊

I wondered why some of the art on Sketch a Day looks so polished. One artist linked to two artworks on their YouTube channel, 1 and 2 weeks ago. Yes, you can create polished art in a week, and claim it’s a daily sketch. I call that cheating, though, since likes can be gotten.

After having it given some more thought, the idea of possibly leaving micro.blog and stopping blogging is probably instigated by all the change since April. I’ve l̶e̶f̶t̶abandonned two social networks (Facebook and Strava), which I found to be time sinks. Change begets change.

Second consecutive day 🏃 9 km in 62 minutes. I even had a walk break of 500 m. I certainly was less tired than after each daily 15 km run a week ago. So an hour is doable, it seems.

I guess I’m a bit rusty…

15 km per day proved to be too hard, so after a proper recovery I aimed lower, 9 km per day? 🏃
